George Zubulake, President

George is a Sales and Marketing professional in the Promotional Products & Apparel industry.  He has over 11 years in experience in researching, developing and implementing advertising campaigns using promotional products as means to reinforce brand and identity in the market place.

In May of 2011, George launched his own business, Promotions, by George!  His business is a member of the Advertising Specialty Institute and as an accredited member of the Better Business Bureau.     

George has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing from Indiana University in Bloomington. He earned his Competent Speaker certification as a Toastmaster in the summer of 2010. He was the Brentwood Cool Springs Chamber of Commerce volunteer of the year for 2006.

        Jane DeWitt, VP Special Events

Jane is an account executive for Vanderbilt IMG Sports Marketing, IMG College. She is responsible for managing one third of the current Vanderbilt Corporate Partner accounts as well as meeting new business revenue goals each fiscal year. Prior to IMG, she served as a Assistant Director of Marketing and Sales at Marshall University's in their Department of Athletics. Before Marshall, Jane began her career as a Consumer Marketing and Sales Intern for ESPN (Chicago, IL) where she gained national experience working with multiple media buying agencies, and industry experience with the multimedia assets of TV, print, digital, and radio advertising. Further, Jane is an active member of the National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators (NACMA).

A scholarship member of the NCAA Division 1 women's soccer team for four years at Murray State University (Murray, KY), Jane earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business, with an Area in Marketing. She continued her education to earn her Master of Science Degree in Sports Administration from Marshall University (Huntington, WV).

 

Marc Fortune, VP Public Relations

Currently a private investor and in the launch phase of Force Five, a sales support group operation, Marc Fortune was the largest shareholder and CEO of Century II before its sale to Fortune Industries (FFI:A) in 2005.

His tenure with Century II, one of the nation’s largest Professional Employer Organizations, resulted in 9 years of increased revenues and profitability. The Company was a multiple Future Fifty award winner and consistently dominated its market with a 50% market share. The company’s client base was primarily small businesses based in Nashville, many of them start-ups and early stage operations.

Fortune founded CSM, an outsourced sales management company in 1990 after launching two new business units of a local diversified real estate operation and 11 years in corporate America, including 5 as a product manager with Aladdin Industries, a leader in institutional meal delivery systems; and 6 with Rodgers Construction, then one of the largest hospital builders in the U.S., where he served as VP of Business Development. He sold CSM after he acquired Century II in 1997.

He is a founding member of Compass Executives and serves on the executive committee of the board of the Nashville Capital Network and the advisory board of Cable. An alum of Leadership Nashville, Fortune has served on the boards of the Nashville Chamber of Commerce, Family & Children’s Service, the Williamson County United Way, where he chaired the deTocqueville Society and was board chair of the Nashville Red Cross. He was named Entrepreneur of the Year in 2004 by the Nashville Business Journal. Fortune is also founding chairman of the Nashville Sailing Foundation and a past commodore of the Percy Priest Yacht Club.

Fortune has an undergraduate business degree from Marquette University and received his MBA from Vanderbilt, where he also served as Board President of the Owen Alumni Association.

Marc has three grown children, an accommodating son-in-law, a happy wife, two delighted dogs and is an avid sailor.

 

       Shannon McGee
   VP of Membership

                          

Shannon McGee grew up all over the country as the daughter of a Lt. Col. fighter pilot in the Marine Corps.  After high school in southern California, Shannon graduated with honors from Montana State University with a BS in Film & TV Production.  She has been in Nashville over 18 years and loves how it is an amalgamation of many places she lived and loves.

After working several years in the production industry in Nashville, Shannon made the transition to operational positions in finance and eventually she was “talked into” exploring sales, where it turns out she found her true calling.  Her love of people and life experiences around the country have made sales a natural fit.

McGee spearheaded the sales effort during the transformation of Nashville Post magazine from a regional publication to BusinessTN magazine, Tennessee's premier business monthly. During this time, McGee established crucial relationships with industry professionals throughout the state.

Joining Windstream in 2011, she is enjoying much success as her relentless work ethic fuels her determination to connect her clients with those solutions that best meet their needs.  She is very excited to be part of such a dynamic and growing company which offers a broad array of advanced business technology solutions that deliver proven results and value.

She is involved in several organizations, including: Nashville Association of Sales Professionals; Nashville Kiwanis; CABLE; Mt. Juliet Chamber of Commerce; Lebanon Chamber of Commerce;  NAWBO, NTC and WiTT.

Shannon is married to her best friend, Ricky McGee, and is the mother of two active young daughters.  She enjoys cheering on her children in their various sporting and musical activities, including soccer, basketball, piano and handbells.  Her family enjoys the outdoors and hiking whenever possible.  She is a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Hermitage, TN.

          

                Joey Sims, Chariman of the Board

Joey is an account executive for fNuVox Communications in Brentwood, TN.  NuVox is a voice and data service provider that has been serving small to mid-size business customers for 10 years.  NuVox provides local, long distance, Internet, private networking, VOIP, and security solutions.  At NuVox, we focus on the customer and pride ourselves in providing top of the line customer care while helping our customers to use technology to be more efficient and to positively impact their bottom line.

Joey has nine years in the telecom business working with companies like AT & T, Southeastern Telecom and now NuVox.  Prior to that, she was in the food industry selling for Carvel Ice Cream and Frito-Lay.  Joey graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville where she was involved with the American Marketing Association and Sigma Kappa Sorority.  She is the mother of three and enjoys coaching her daughter and son's basketball teams.  Joey is the current director at Lakeview Elementary for the WWBA basketball league.  She is a member of St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Hermitage, TN.

Roderick Carrasco is a District Specialist with Pitney Bowes, Inc. in Nashville TN. Pitney Bowes provides software, hardware and services that integrate physical and digital communications channels.       Michael Climer, Treasurer

Michael is a Senior Communications Consultant for IDeACOM NETWORKS, a leading provider of business and healthcare communications solutions. Located in Nashville, Tennessee, he is a communications technology specialist engaged by Nashville's leading healthcare, financial, real-estate, manufacturing and logistics businesses. Michael manages new and expansion projects throughout the U.S. utilizing resources from IDeACOM's 84 offices nation-wide.

A Nashville native, Michael attended the University of Tennessee at Knoxville with a Major in Business. He is active in the NASP, Nashville Technology Council and Leadership Health Care. He is a co-founder and President of the Nashville Business Club which is a long-standing network group of business professionals from varied business to business backgrounds. 

                               

                

      

  

                   Tom Harris, Sergeant at Arms

Tom is in New Business Development Sales with CCSG.   CCSG is an 18 year old technology company that designs, builds and engineers a custom server based PBX phone system that rides on Asterisk and Linux Software.  CCSG also designs and engineers low voltage wiring projects including fiber optic cabling for commercial accounts. Lastly, CCSG slells and designs computer networking installations and also provides troubleshooting evaluations.

          Mark Onan, Webmaster

Mark is a Marketing and Sales Executive with a track record of Success.  He is an innovative professional with more than 15 years of technical sales, marketing, and hi tech customer service experience.

Mark is the Director of Sales & Marketing for Oman Systems, Inc. and has helped his firm grow their sales revenue and market share each year since 2000.  He also has experience as a Consultative Sales Professional with Everest Technologies, and has been a Supervisor in the Technical Call Center with American General Company as well as an Analyst in the Customer Service Department with Nortel Networks.

Mark has a Master of Science in Computer Information Systems from MTSU Middle Tennessee State University and before that earned his BBA in Marketing and a BA in Advertising and Public Relations from Idaho State University
